Baked Bean Casserole

2-15 oz. cans kidney bean
2-15 oz. cans lima beans(drained and rinsed)
2-15 oz. cans pork 'n beans


Mix beans together in a dutch oven or casserole dish that has a lid and set aside.
Fry 1/2 lb. bacon until slightly crispy. Remove from pan.
In the bacon drippings saute-
1 red or green peeper
1 large onion
Crumble the bacon and add to saute mixture. Blend and stir into beans.

SAUCE
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
Stir together and pour over bean mixture. combine well.
Bake for 2 hours at 300.



I made the full recipe and divided it between individual casserole and topped each with cheese near the end of baking. I only baked the small ones for 1 hour. Toasted garlic cheese baguette is a great accompaniment.
